Lilah had had yet another bad day at the office,Nathan Reed had disappeared presumed dead and she had gotten a new boss who was in her opinion an ass. His name was Linwood Murrow. So now after about eight hours of working her ass off at the office, Lilah had decided that she needed a little pick me up, so here she was at her usual hole in the wall bar. She'd been in Los Angeles over two years, before finding this place. The bar she was currently sitting in was called Paradise and they had the best drinks in town. She had a few other bars that she went to, but this one was her favorite.

Paradise was small had just the right light smoky atmosphere, good music that wasn't loud annoying techno crap that all the other trendy bars in town had. Best of all no one from Wolfram and Hart came here that alone made it worth it. She'd been coming here so often now that she knew the bartender and owner Billy by name.

She came in and sat at her usual spot at the bar and ordered her usual drink of choice when here, a Cosmo only tonight she told Billy to make it on the stronger side. She sat at the bar sipping her Cosmo and doing some people watching.

It was a little after 8 a.m at Wolfram and Hart on what should have been a regular Monday morning. Lilah Morgan walked into her lavish corner office. She set her things down and sat down at her desk. She took a few sips of her coffee and looked over her day planner. She had no meetings until noon. She started checking her email and the office memos. She glanced up from her reading to see the assistant desk just outside her office was empty. She sighed and hit four on the speed dial list. After a few moments she got a person in the steno pool and she told them to send her someone decent and smart for her newest in a long line of assistants.

While she waited for her newest assistant to show up, she received a stunning bouquet of blood red roses. She set them on the coffee table and went back to work.

The last thing I remember is being left for dead in a fucking sewer. Yeah that's right Wesley just turned and walked away. Guess he thought I could take care of myself. Any other time I'd agree with that thought process, this time though even I know it was possibly the stupidest move he's ever made. Well aside from dumping me in the first place, that's still at the top of the list of his stupidest moves. I slowly opened my eyes and looked around carefully. I noticed I wasn't in the sewers anymore. I was in fact laying on a comfortable bed. the pain in my side was less agonizing, and I wasn't bleeding to death anymore. I vague have a recollection of Wes coming back for me. Which must've really happened, I looked over to the corner of the room and saw Wes sitting in a chair watching me.

I remember that I'd almost slipped up back in the sewers and told him I loved him. Then thinking better of it and telling him about Connor instead. I stared back at him not sure what say. I do feel a little better though. I just wish I knew where we're supposed to go from here now. I mean he drew a line in the sand ,he chose his side and I wasn't on it,but then he had to go and play the knight in shinning armor card. He saved me from the beast and he came back for me in the sewers, when he could have just left me to die both times. That has to count for something right?

I looked over at him again and gave him a wang smile. "Hey.."

Wes in case you're wondering this could apply to you
satanlawyer: (Default)
After I had gotten the legal aspects taken care of Angel decided to let Wes' family take care of the funeral arrangements with one small exception, we held the funeral for him at night, and, fitting the mood, it was one of the few times in California that it was raining. It wasn't just a light sprinkling, either. It was pouring down. The people that were there were all huddled underneath umbrellas while the Anglican (Wes's father insisted) priest said the funeral mass for him.

I wasn't really even listening to the priest as he went on and on. I knew that Wes would hate this funeral. It wasn't really him at all. Angel however had pointed out that the fact that we were able to bury him here in LA was a fight enough, so Angel kind of let his family deal with the rest.

I stood there watching Wesley's mother, who could not seem to stop crying. I then glanced over at his father and then I moved over to where Angel was standing. "I could just stake you, what the hell were you thinking, letting his family put this together?!" I hissed at Angel as the priest droned on. What I really wanted to do was scream at him to shut the hell up,Wes wasn't remotely religious! As if all of this wasn't bad enough Wes's father had a decent amount of Watchers here and there was a lot of pomp and circumstance I've noticed that apparently goes along with being a Watcher dead or alive. I'm just somewhat relived that it's being held at the Hyperion.

It started out just like any other night after I came home from work. I came home tossed my work things and keys by the door with my purse and then I showered and changed into more comfortable clothes, went to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of wine. I had gotten the wine out of the fridge and I grabbed a glass from the cabinet, next thing I know Angel’s standing in my somehow open doorway, looking apologetic? Maybe something closer to sympathetic? I’m not sure how to describe the look on his face, but I know I’ve never seen it before… well I’ve seen it once before.

I stood there for I don’t know how long just staring at him, the long slender wine glass in my hand as an icy chill started to go down my spine and not in a good way either. It seems like ages before he speaks, but it’s only been mere minutes.
satanlawyer: (worry)
This isn’t happening. Wesley had the brilliant, no scratch that stupid idea to leave me here. Now I’m stuck in an empty Hotel, with wonder girl and psychotic vampire. I have to just focus on making it out of this place alive. And not the searing pain, currently ripping through my side. I’m still bleeding and I know he can smell it. Blood’s like a fucking homing beacon for vampires.

I swear if I make it out of here in one piece, I’ll kill Wes for leaving me to die again. You’d think the bastard would have been smart enough to know, that Angelus might double back. But back to my problem at hand, this place is like a fucking maze. I think I passed the same damn painting at least twice now.

The pain in my side is making things a bit hazy around the edges. I just need to rest for a bit. No can’t do that, I do I’ll definitely die. And yes in case you’re wondering, the fact that I'm trapped with a killer. Who doesn’t need to breathe, scares the hell out of me. If I thought it would work, I’d pray to anyone who would listen. God I hope Wesley gets a damn clue that’s something’s terribly wrong and comes back already.
